We’re Coming to Cornwall - Native Makers at Liskeard Library

Get ready for Native Makers at Liskeard Library an exciting new collaborative pop-up market right in the heart of Liskeard High Street. This festive season, we’re partnering with the Real Ideas team based at the historic Liskeard Library to bring you a new Cornish pop-up. Liskeard proudly boasts a burgeoning maker's scene and is developing a number of amazing studios, markets, shops and galleries that display and sell local work. We aim to create an opportunity to really add to this movement by bringing the much loved Native Makers Market, along with the loyal following of people who buy from these, into the town. We will be ring fencing some of the pitches for PL14 makers and hope this provides a valuable platform for the wider South East Cornwall making scene to coalesce here in Liskeard.

It wouldn’t be festive season without our annual winter markets in our home Real Art Make Print, Ocean Studios. Nestled in the heart of Royal William Yard, explore 3 rooms across 2 floors creating the ultimate alternative retail experience supporting our local and regional makers community.
What to Expect
We curate markets to celebrate makers and small independent businesses through originality, diversity, sustainability and design. We create a platform for creatives no matter the age or stage of career, creating positive connections for our community to grow. We support super-local and wider regional talent.
Our markets are about collaboration, expect a variety of talented makers, delicious locally-made treats and artisan coffee, creative activities and family friendly fun!

How do I get to the Liskeard Library?
We are located at Barras St, Liskeard PL14 6AB
(Opposite Liskeard Co-Op).
Train – Liskeard Library is a 15minute walk (0.6 Miles) from Liskeard Train Station.
Buses – Bus Stop in Located 50 yards From Liskeard Library.
Is there Parking?
Parking is available in Westborne Car Park, on West Street, PL14 6BW, which is ticketed and a short walk to Liskeard Library.
Is there wheelchair access to the upstairs?
There is a lift that enables access to the upstairs of the Library.

Follow the Royal William Yard Main Street from the entrance of RWY and look for the red telephone box and turn left. We have 2 main entrances through a large courtyard or opposite the BLOCK gym entrance.

Ocean Studios has an accessible entrance; however, some areas are uneven due to heritage restrictions. We have worked hard to create an accessible building. Ocean Studios has accessible toilet facilities and lift access to the upper floors. Blue badge parking is available throughout the Royal William Yard – please advise us of any additional needs so we can make your visit enjoyable and comfortable.
